Job description

Title - Sr. Project Analysts

Location - Sacramento, CA 95826 - Hybrid
Contract - 6+months contract to hire

Responsibilities

The Senior Project Analyst plays a key role in supporting moderately to highly complex projects and programs across business domains.

This role bridges business needs with technical solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and delivering measurable value.

The analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive project success through business requirements gathering, solution validation, process improvement, and user adoption.

Key Responsibilities

Business Needs Discovery

  • Partner with project teams to identify business challenges and define measurable value.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Lead current and future state workflow analysis to address emerging needs.
  • Uncover and articulate unspoken business and user needs.
  • Support conflict resolution and risk mitigation to maintain project momentum.
  • Ensure quality and compliance with relevant regulations (., BSA/AML).

    Solution Management

  • Collaborate on solution vision and prioritize competing needs.
  • Understand technical constraints and recommend viable alternatives.
  • Support RFP development and vendor evaluation.
  • Promote reusable enterprise artifacts and communicate technology trade-offs.

    Consulting

  • Advise teams on trade-offs and scope adjustments to meet business outcomes.
  • Streamline processes and enhance efficiency through collaboration.
  • Influence prioritization to support iterative value delivery.
  • 4.

    Business Readiness & User Adoption

  • Develop and communicate change management plans.
  • Identify and mitigate user adoption challenges.
  • Facilitate communities of practice and forums for continuous improvement.
  • Apply industry best practices to enhance project delivery.
  • Skills & Abilities

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) for stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Teams, SharePoint, and project tools.
  • Familiarity with contract language and negotiation.
  • Qualifications

  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, MIS, Computer Science, or related field (Advanced degree preferred).
  • Experience:
    Minimum 8 years in project analysis/management, with at least 5 years in requirements gathering and quality analysis.

    Experience in financial services preferred.
