Summary:

HII Mission Technologies is currently seeking a Contracts Manager (Contracts Manager Level 1) located in Columbia, MD to support the contract administration and business growth of Enlighten, a subsidiary of HII MT within the Warfare Systems (WS) Business Group.

The ideal candidate is an experienced problem solver with a variety of skills across contracts management and cost proposal development.

The chosen candidate will report to the Warfare Systems Contracts Director and support all aspects of contract administration for the Business Group.
A hybrid work schedule has been authorized.


What You Will Do:


+ Serve as a contractual business advisor to line management (Business Group President, Operations Managers, Program Managers) and functional management (Procurement, Pricing, Finance/Accounting, Costpoint Team, Business Operations, and Project Control) regarding contractual and proposal issues.

+ Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations to include, but not limited to, reporting requirements.

+ Ensure that contracts, proposals and work product comply with HII and HI MTC policies and Contracts Department processes and are of high quality.

Ensure contract files include appropriate documentation to support such compliance.

+ Negotiate the terms of contract documents including, but not limited to, Contracts, Cost Proposals, NDAs, and Teaming Agreements.

+ Support proposal development by analyzing requests for proposal (RFPs) to determining the contractual requirements to deliver a compliant, responsive and winning proposal.

Follow corporate policy and procedures to obtain proper approvals.

+ Become a skilled user of Unison Contract Lifecycle Management software recording cradle to grave contract information.

+ Effectively communicate within the team, the company, and customers;

+ Other duties as assigned.



What We're Looking For:


+ 4 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience.

+ Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

+ Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS.



Preferred Requirements


+ Active DoD Secret preferred.

+ Past experience managing contracts, subcontracts and/or pricing professionals is strongly preferred

+ Experience with Firm Fixed Price type contracts, OTAs and CSOs preferred

+ 10+ years of government contract experience preferred

+ Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS

+ Experience supporting large proposal efforts including management of cost narratives

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
