PLEASE NOTE: The starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and is anticipated to be in the range of $3,864.00 per month to $4,968.00 per month.

About the Position
This is grant funded, full-time, temporary position through June 30, 2026 with the possibility of reappointment.

The Cradle-to-Career Programs Coordinator at Hayward Promise Neighborhoods (HPN) plays a pivotal role in advancing cradle-to-career (C2C) initiatives designed to improve educational and life outcomes for children and youth in Hayward’s most underserved communities.
As part of a .
Department of Education initiative, this position supports outreach and engagement efforts that foster college and career readiness through direct coordination with local schools, families, and community partners.
Reporting to the Executive Director and the Cradle-to-Career Programs and Evaluation Director, the Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing community-based events such as back-to-school nights, college and career fairs, and financial aid workshops, as well as organizing and participating in outreach activities including tabling at school functions and city-sponsored events.
The role also includes responding to inquiries from partner schools, promoting programs like Pioneers with Promise, and supporting college access programming such as campus tours.
The ideal candidate will bring strong project coordination skills, a passion for educational equity, and experience working in multilingual, diverse communities.
This position requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across internal teams and external stakeholders to meet the objectives of the Promise Neighborhoods grant.
