Envisionit, an award-winning digital marketing agency based in Chicago, is seeking a visionary Creative Director (Design) to lead and inspire our growing creative team.

Our clients are primarily in fintech and tourism (but also a few other fun areas).

You will be instrumental in defining and elevating the visual creative product across brand identities, integrated digital campaigns, and immersive web experiences, directly impacting our clients' success and our agency's reputation.

You'll work alongside a tight-knit bunch of seriously talented people who genuinely like each other, have fun and work hard for the collective success.

We have a beautiful office overlooking Millennium Park and Lake Michigan that serves as the perfect setting for collaboration in our hybrid environment.



The Role

You are a strategic creative force who thrives on translating complex business challenges into groundbreaking visual solutions and experiences.

You don't just understand client complexities; you anticipate future needs and set the strategic design vision.

You collaborate closely with strategy to unearth deep insights, and actively partner with media and analytics to innovate and ensure creative drives measurable business results.

You possess extensive experience in developing, evolving, and championing comprehensive visual brand systems and user experiences that captivate audiences and deliver measurable impact.

Your portfolio likely includes award-winning campaigns and activations that showcase your leadership and innovation.

Key Functions:

• Define, champion, and continually elevate the overall creative vision and design philosophy for one of our agent's key clients.
  
  
• Translate complex business challenges and data-driven insights into innovative, impactful, and performance-driven design solutions that meet and exceed client objectives.
  
  
• Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of talented writers and designers, fostering a culture of creative excellence, collaboration, and continuous innovation, with a primary focus on elevating the agency's overall visual output and user experience standards.
  
  
• Provide senior oversight and strategic guidance on the execution of major campaigns and digital initiatives, ensuring the highest quality design standards are consistently met.
  
  
• Serve as a primary creative voice in high-stakes client engagements, strategic reviews, and new business pitches, articulating complex design concepts with clarity and conviction.
  
  
• Drive innovation at the intersection of design, technology, and data, collaborating with tech, media, and analytics teams to push creative boundaries and maximize performance and user engagement.
  
  
• Strategically collaborate with client services to scope large, complex creative projects, ensuring optimal resource allocation and value delivery within budget and timelines.
  
  
• Play a pivotal role in new business development, contributing to proposals, presentations, and overall creative strategy for prospective clients.
  
  

What we're looking for:

• First and foremost, you are an award-winning creative leader with an exceptional digital design background.
  
  You have a passion for discovering new ways to tell a brand's story that builds relationships with their audience through compelling visuals, intuitive user interfaces, and engaging experiences.
  
  
• While you appreciate the craft and can get hands-on when needed, your primary strength lies in conceptualizing, guiding, and elevating design output across multiple teams and large-scale initiatives.
  
  
• Extensive experience (8-10+ years) in digital design leadership roles within an agency environment is a must, with a strong preference for candidates with fintech, tourism marketing, or hospitality experience.
  
  
• You are a visionary conceptualizer, capable of developing groundbreaking creative platforms and integrated campaigns, with a portfolio showcasing transformative business impact through design leadership.
  
  
• You are a trusted strategic advisor to clients, capable of understanding their deepest business challenges and translating them into compelling, effective design solutions.
  
  
• You take ultimate accountability for the strategic impact and performance of all creative output under your direction.
  
  
• You possess strong business acumen, understanding agency profitability and resource management.

Perks, Salary & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $125,000 - 150,000 USD.

This is a good-faith estimate of the base pay scale for this position and any potential offers will ultimately be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and performance in the interview process.
