YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a passionate, collaborative, and adaptable Group Director, Audience & Insights to join Redbox, Crossmedia's analytics and business intelligence team.

This role is focused on deriving audience insights using a breadth of data sources to shape and inform go to market audience approaches.

You will play a pivotal role ensuring:

  • Clear audience segmentation and recommendations that drive growth and business outcomes for our clients
  • Audience insights and frameworks are effectively socialized across teams
  • Effective audience data strategies; an ability to tie the strategic audience to an addressable one through data strategy
  • Audience measurement and optimizations across channels
The ideal candidate will have experience delivering data driven audience insights and recommendations, owning client relationships, and a deep knowledge of data technologies and platforms.

The role will also require agility; a need to balance a portfolio of clients while working with the wider team to upskill and develop talent.



RESPONSIBILITIES

Proven track record of implementing strategic audience and data recommendations for client success.

A strategic problem solver, adept at building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels.

Combines deep analytical expertise, leadership experience, and a strong understanding of audience behavior, segmentation, and measurement to connect data strategies directly to media planning strategy.



Leadership & Strategic Impact
  • Develops and implements end-to-end audience strategies aligned with client objectives and business goals.

    • Insights, segmentation, activation frameworks and audience measurement plans.

    • Will partner closely with the Strategy team to elevate observations/themes into strategic insights.

  • Partners with client leadership to translate audience insights into actionable recommendations for media planning, strategy, and customer engagement.

  • Acts as a senior advisor on audience measurement, data strategy, and analytics solutions.

  • Leads and grows high-performing audience analytics teams, providing mentorship, coaching, and career development.

  • Serve as primary point of contact for client data strategy conversations, providing confident, consultative POVs which could cover technology, data strategy, identity, and data maturity.

Audience Analytics & Insights
  • Utilizes data-driven insights to derive audience recommendations and guide strategic decision-making.

  • Oversees development and maintenance of audience segmentation, data targeting strategies, and audience measurement frameworks.

  • Experience using both syndicated and dynamic platforms to identify trends and derive audience insights.

  • Ensures data integrity, accuracy, and relevance across all audience projects.

Data & Tools Expertise
  • Proficient across all data types (0PD/1P/2P/3P) and can effectively communicate data strategies to media clients.

  • Has experience working directly with 3P data providers to gather insights and create custom audiences for activation.

  • Knowledgeable and skilled across a range of platforms: e.g., DSPs, DMPs, Social platforms, Syndicated tools (YouGov/MRI), Identity platforms (LiveRamp TransUnion, Experian, etc.), Google Marketing Cloud, Site Analytics, and Data Clean Rooms.

  • Familiarity with modeling techniques to have informed conversations with clients around the use of their 1P/CRM data.

    • Experience with predictive analytics, machine learning, or AI-driven audience insight.

  • Tech informed; can consult clients on MarTech needs and 1P enrichment opportunities.

Collaboration & Influence
  • Aligns audiences to channel frameworks encompassing goals, messaging, and measurement parameters.

  • Fosters collaboration across planners, strategists, data analyst, and measurement teams to integrate audience insights fully into campaign planning and optimization.

  • Can simplify complex audience and data conversations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to manage and inspire mid-sized teams.

    • Adept at developing talent and upskilling junior team members.

  • Confident presenter and communicator to clients of all levels.

  • Strong time management with a proactive mindset always pushing work forward without the need for oversight.

  • Can remain calm and balance multiple projects.

  • Solutions focused with the ability to resolve complex challenges.

  • Ability to build trust with clients and stakeholders and can set and manage expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 12+ years of experience in audience/data roles, analytics, data science, or a related field, ideally within an agency.

  • Familiarity with privacy regulations and data governance.

  • Proficiency in analytics tools a bonus (e.g., SQL, Python/R, Tableau/Power BI, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).

  • Experience with addressable media and advanced measurement techniques (e.g., MMM, attribution modeling).
