Job description

Kaplan Early Learning Company is seeking a Customer Collections Representative (On-site).

Position Objective:

Exhibit professional customer interaction for resolution of delinquent receivables and payment discrepancies to mitigate company's risk and maintain cash flow.

Candidate must possess the ability to drive resolution through research and problem solving.

Effectively communicate with internal/external customers on risk factors, unfavorable payment trends and held orders.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Facilitate collection of customer past due receivables (30, 60, 90+) in assigned territory, this includes making daily required phone calls and emails to receive payment.
  • Professional engagement with internal/external customers to service accounts
  • Determine root cause of delinquency and best course of action to resolve inquiries/disputes (i.e. alleviate write offs)
  • Timely response for invoice processing, pending orders and credit card declines
  • Continuously strive to improve processes and service quality
  • Work closely with Manager and other team members to perform special duties/projects as assigned

Position Requirements Include:

  • Associates degree desired; high school diploma or equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • A minimum of two years' experience in account analysis, reconciliation or collections.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Excellent research, analytical and negotiation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Work well independently and as an integral part of a team
  • Possess the ability to exercise sound judgement and rely on acquired skills
  • Detail-oriented with analytical aptitude
  • Impressive time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize work with minimal direction and supervision
  • Work effectively with co-workers, internal and external customers by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listen to and objectively consider ideas and suggestions from others
  • Ability to monitor risk by evaluating and recommending accounts for collection agency placement
