Job Summary:
FieldLink is hiring a Data Center Superintendent to lead critical infrastructure build-outs within enterprise and hyperscale data center environments.
This role provides hands-on supervision of structured cabling installations, ensures quality control and safety compliance, and manages field teams to meet technical, budgetary, and timeline objectives.
Ideal candidates bring deep experience in structured cabling systems and proven leadership in data center or mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight & Execution
Lead daily field operations for multiple structured cabling and low voltage projects in active data center environments Review and interpret project blueprints, installation plans, and scope documents Oversee quality assurance on installation practices aligned with BICSI and industry standards Track project milestones, manage schedule deviations, and ensure deliverables are met on time Team & Workforce Leadership
Manage and coordinate on-site teams of 10 technicians, foremen, and subcontractors Mentor junior staff, conduct performance evaluations, and promote technical upskilling Enforce adherence to site-specific safety protocols and company policies Client & Stakeholder Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact for project managers, general contractors, and client reps Communicate progress, risks, and solutions clearly and professionally Represent FieldLink in a positive, solution-oriented manner on high-visibility projects Safety & Compliance
Conduct jobsite safety audits, toolbox talks, and ensure all staff follow OSHA and company safety standards Address incidents promptly and complete all required documentation Maintain a clean and organized work environment in live data center spaces Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED 7 years of experience in structured cabling or low voltage installation, with 3 years in a supervisory capacity Deep understanding of BICSI standards and data center construction practices Active OSHA 10 (preferred); lift, fall protection, and confined space certifications a plus Experience with physical infrastructure: cable tray, ladder racks, fiber routing, and MDF/IDF buildouts Ability to interpret and redline as-built drawings and documentation Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, work on ladders/lifts, and perform tasks on-foot for extended periods About Fieldlink
