Data Governance & Integration Developer/Specialist
Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota (Remote/Hybrid possible)

Pay Rate: $55 per hour / W2, Fulltime or 1099 - $60 on C2C

Position Overview
We are looking for a Specialist who work closely with IT teams, and external stakeholders to lead the development of a comprehensive data architecture.
This includes creating interface registries, control documents, and governance plans, while ensuring optimal integration, security, and traceability across all Medicaid-related systems.
Your technical know-how, combined with your ability to manage multiple projects and translate business needs into data solutions, will be critical to the program's success.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain relational (SQL) and NoSQL database structures for enterprise-level performance.
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models using tools such as ERwin or ER/Studio.
- Maintain data catalogs and enable data lineage tracking for transparency and auditability.
- Apply data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, access controls, and compliance.
- Create interface documentation and collaborate on user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) specifications.
- Troubleshoot integration and interface performance issues across distributed systems.
- Apply industry best practices in software interface design, security, and systems integration.
- Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences to ensure aligned project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Min of 9+ years of experience is required in IT industry
- Strong experience with Medicaid, public health, or large-scale government data systems.
- Proficiency with relational SQL and NoSQL technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of data modeling, interface documentation, and integration.
- Familiarity with control systems software and interface design principles.
- Hands-on experience with data governance frameworks, data catalogs, and BI concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency with tools such as MS Teams, Excel, SharePoint, and modeling platforms.
- Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- Professional certifications such as CDMP, CBIP, or related control system credentials.
- Practical experience with Medicaid IT systems or MMIS.
- Familiarity with federal CMS data governance expectations.
- Working knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, NIST).
