We are seeking a highly motivated Data Services Product Manager to join out team.

The Data Services Product Manager will ensure the Sonepar US Data Strategy is executed through critical Data Services projects and products.

The ideal candidate has a good understanding of data analytics, data products, and a passion for delivering strategic business goals using data tools.

The Data Product Manager will bridge the gap between technical team members and business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will excel in translating business requirements to technical concepts and vice versa.

Leading strategic projects will be a main focus of this role and an ideal candidate will be passionate about project management skillsets that can be applied to Data Services processes to better support strategic goals.

The Data Services Product Manager role is based in our Broomfield, CO offices, hybrid work environment with 3 days in the office per week.

Responsibilities: 

Manage Data Services Projects


 • Ensure Data Services adheres to a defined project management process through:


◦ Adequate stakeholder engagement throughout the product lifecycle


◦ Formalized intake process that ensures requirements & milestones are documented and understood


◦ Appropriate resource allocation based on priorities


◦ Documentation is prioritized and well maintained


◦ Balanced agile processes that ensure team can progress on strategic projects while maintaining critical services

Communication of Key Updates to Data Services Stakeholders


 • Drive data literacy concepts with stakeholders to help them better understand Data Services processes and capabilities


 • Ensure stakeholders are aware of current priorities and work efforts


 • Ensure changing business needs or strategic goals are considered through project & product lifecycles

Foster Data Community & Data Product Adoption


 • Maintain documentation & training repository for available data products


 • Ensure product & service performance metrics are established and monitored


 • Champion data literacy throughout Sonepar Data Community

Monitor and Report on Data Services Infrastructure


 • Ensure there is a documented process for communicating service outages


 • Work with data engineers to ensure there is reporting and monitoring

Assist in Data Analytics Projects as Contributor


 • Assist Data Services team with analytics tasks


 • Provide strategic guidance on data product development

Qualifications:


• Two to Five years of related experience required


• One year of experience with Data Visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc) (educational experience accepted) 


• One year of experience in Data Analytics (Educational experience accepted) 


• Familiarity with Data Technologies & Processes and willingness to learn and adopt new tools 


• Familiarity with Agile Methodologies


• Be authorized to work for Sonepar in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications: 


• Experience in SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages


• Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, Git, MS Project or other planning tools


• Familiarity with Database Design principles


• Familiarity with ETL/ELT Processes 


• Understanding or Experience with Project Management

Starting Salary: $95,000-$105,000
