We are seeking a data scientist who can provide consulting solutions that will leverage data and analytics to answer complex questions and influence business strategy.
This role involves developing and applying standards of practice around data retrieval, manipulation, reporting, and analytics while executing high-quality, insightful solutions that drive business value.

**What You’ll Do**
* Collaborate with engineering, product, and consulting teams to build advanced data analytics and AI solutions.
* Design and develop end-to-end data science workflows, including data preprocessing, modeling, evaluation, and deployment.
* Conduct studies using data wrangling, statistical analysis, and machine learning to create solutions that improve performance, identify inefficiencies, or optimize business outcomes.
* Partner with data engineers and IT professionals to ensure seamless integration of data science models and tools within client environments.
* Conduct research into the application of analytics and AI to new problem domains and emerging business needs.
* Apply a pragmatic, business-focused problem-solving approach to deliver high-value, reliable, and scalable solutions.
* Document methodologies, summarize findings, and develop data visualizations to communicate insights clearly to internal stakeholders and clients.
* Stay current on emerging trends in data science, AI, and analytics technologies, and contribute to thought leadership within the organization.
* Provide expert advice and recommendations on data science methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
* Support proposal development, client presentations, and business development activities as part of a consulting team.
* Mentor and train colleagues on data science tools, modeling techniques, and consulting best practices.
* Ensure compliance with company standards, quality processes, and safety policies.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
**Preferred Experience & Skills**
* Experience designing and implementing end-to-end data science solutions within enterprise or consulting environments.
* Proficiency with data analytics and processing frameworks such as Spark, Hadoop, or Flink.
* Hands-on experience with statistical and machine learning techniques across supervised and unsupervised methods.
* Familiarity with commercial analytics tools such as SAS or SPSS and BI tools like ThoughtSpot, Tableau, or Power BI.
* Experience building data visualizations and presenting analytical findings to executive and business audiences.
* Proficiency with Python, SQL, or other programming languages commonly used for data science and analytics.
* Experience working within the electric utility industry or applying analytics to energy, infrastructure, or engineering domains.
* Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to manage ambiguity and competing priorities.
* Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and persuasively.
* Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineers, IT professionals, and business leaders.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering, Math, or related field and 3 years of related experience Required
+ Demonstrated application of analytics processing engines such as Spark, Hadoop, Flink, Storm
+ Experience with a commercial analytics tooling such as SAS, SPSS.
+ Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as ThoughtSpot, Tableau or Power BI.
+ Demonstrated application of data wrangling and supporting tools.
+ Demonstrated application of statistical analytics and machine learning.
Experience with a variety of machine learning algorithms and an understanding of the application of other algorithms.
+ Experience with the domain of problems of an Electric Utility strongly preferred.
+ Experience in utility analytics in a technology vendor or utility environment.
+ Ability to work with team members and clients to assess needs, provide assistance, and resolve problems.
+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
+ Ability to present and explain technical concepts to business audiences.
