Basic Requirement: You must provide supporting documentation in your application to show you meet the basic requirement below: Degree: Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position.
The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position.
OR Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown above, plus additional education or appropriate experience.
In addition to the education requirement listed above, you must also meet the specialized experience below: Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Utilizing advanced data science techniques including data extraction transformation cleaning modeling machine learning and artificial intelligence.
Processing data and extracting insights from structured and unstructured data to provide solutions to complex challenges.
Developing artificial intelligence services in risk assessment targeting and chatbot development for auditing.
Using advanced quantitative computer science and statistical skills to interpret data for target forecasting and augmenting data-driven audit decisions.
Using statistical software and computer programs such as R or Python.
