The Data Strategy and Analytics Manager (DSAM) plays a pivotal role in setting and executing a comprehensive data strategy for Wharton Executive Education.

The DSAM is responsible for developing and operationalizing a unified data strategy that connects technology platforms with business objectives.

Serving as the critical bridge between technical teams and business users, this role ensures that data from multiple systems is accurate, meaningful, and used effectively to inform decisions.

In addition to analyzing data, the DSAM will help define how data is structured and flows across platforms, ensuring that our systems are built to support the insights we need.

The DSAM will oversee the integration of data across platforms such as Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Marketo/Adobe Experience Cloud, Qualtrics, and Enlight – an internally developed platform within Executive Education; lead efforts to visualize, report on, and version data; and guide the organization in adopting consistent data governance and usage standards.

The DSAM is a strategic thinker and operational executor who enables the business to tell compelling stories with data and drive performance across Executive Education.

This individual will lead efforts to align the organization’s use of data with its strategic goals by establishing clear governance, consistent definitions, and an integrated architecture across platforms.

The DSAM will assess current gaps in data integrity, accessibility, and usability, and build cross-functional consensus around best practices for data capture, maintenance, and usage.

By partnering closely with IT, Finance & Administration, Marketing, and the unique business units of Executive Education (Online, Open Enrollment and Custom), the DSAM will help define a shared roadmap that supports long-term operational efficiency and decision-making agility.

Equally important, the DSAM will act as the translator of data into insight—telling the story of the business through clean, well-structured, and contextualized information.

This includes helping stakeholders interpret key performance trends, identify opportunities, and make confident decisions based on accurate and timely data.

The DSAM will engage with business leaders to understand their evolving information needs and ensure that data models, pipeline logic, and analysis frameworks support everything from lead qualification and program performance to customer behavior and industry segmentation.

They will also partner with business stakeholders to define, refine, and evolve key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring that performance metrics are meaningful, measurable, and actionable in support of the division’s strategic goals.

The DSAM will proactively identify patterns, guide internal conversations with data-driven narratives, and foster a culture where insights drive action and support revenue growth.

The DSAM will develop and oversee a structured intake and prioritization process for reporting and analytics requests, enabling clarity around demand, delivery timelines, and alignment with broader business priorities The DSAM will partner with the business users to own and manage the design, delivery, and governance of reporting and visualization across the organization.

This includes developing and maintaining dashboards in Salesforce and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), ensuring data is version-controlled, easily digestible, and tailored to the needs of each team.

They will work to streamline report access, reduce duplication, and build trust in reporting by establishing clear documentation, standard logic, and intuitive formats.

By ensuring high-quality visualizations and scalable reporting systems, the DSAM will empower business users to self-serve insights, minimize confusion, and increase adoption of data-informed practices throughout the organization.

Additionally, the DSAM will serve as a champion for data literacy, guiding business users in understanding and applying data insights, and fostering a culture where informed decision-making becomes embedded in daily operations.

The DSAM will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the implementation of a new Salesforce instance by developing data-driven standard operating procedures (SOPs), helping to design and deliver training materials, and ensuring successful adoption through user enablement and analytics.

The DSAM will serve as the primary point of contact for ongoing and ad hoc data requests across Executive Education, including survey submissions (UNICON, rankings, benchmarks), annual reports, Board reports, and internal performance (retention, growth regions).

This includes pulling, formatting, and contextualizing data to meet recurring and time-sensitive needs.

The DSAM will also take a forward-looking approach to ensure that data systems, structures, and practices are scalable, resilient, and adaptable to evolving business models, technologies, and customer expectations.

This role is responsible for managing and delivering recurring reports across units, ensuring data accuracy, timely distribution, and alignment with stakeholder expectations.
