Database Administrator 4 Job Opening In Washington – Now Hiring GovCIO


Job description

**Overview**

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Database Administrator to design, implement, and maintain the OS environments for the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) IT Infrastructure Support Services (ITIS).

This position will be located in DC and will be an onsite position.

This position is contingent upon award.

**Responsibilities**

Mid-level technical resource responsible for managing and optimizing an organization’s DB systems to ensure high performance, security, and reliability.

7-10 years’ experience, bachelor’s degree, and relevant DB certifications.

Ability to handle tasks such as DB installation, configuration, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.

Ability to follow direction provided by senior DBAs and team lead.

Specialization in DB platforms, e.g., Oracle.

**Qualifications**

Required: 7-10 years’ experience.

Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.

Relevant database certifications.

Current ITIL Foundation and/or Practitioner v.4 certifications.
Desired: Current DevSecOps FoundationSM certification from the DevOps Institute.

**Posted Pay Range**

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.

The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

**Posted Salary Range**

USD $115,000.00 - USD $145,000.00 /Yr.
