What you will gain
Our Summer Internship Program, beginning in June 2026, provides immersive training and introduction to Santander.

You will be combining this training with practical experience on both technical and interpersonal skills, helping your development during the internship.

The 2026 Santander Summer Internship Program is for undergraduate students and/or graduate level students who have an expected graduation date between December 2026 and May/June 2027.

Santander US is a nationwide business with locations across the country.

This position is located in **Dallas, TX** .

• The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range.

For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week.

The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
Salary: **$67,600/year**

As a Database Administrator intern, you will come out of this experience with an understanding of SQL server and snowflake databases .

You will gain direct knowledge of the relational database systems and could include exposure to complex database architectures.

As a Database Administrator intern your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Creates and maintains databases for test.
• Development and production environments.
• Analyzes, tests, and implements physical database design.
• Documents environment and maintains current patches.
• Ensures data recovery, maintenance, data integrity, and space requirements for physical database are met through formulation and monitoring of policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management.
• Audits the current environments, provides capacity planning and best practices for the future production/development/test environments, which may include establishing new standards and procedures.
• Conducts performance assessment and tuning as related to the database system.
• Provides technical knowledge working with system administrators, technical managers, developers, and architects.

What we are looking for
• An undergraduate student with an expected graduation date between either December 2026 or May/June 2027.
• Area of Study: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology or related field
• Cumulative GPA is 3.0 or above.
• Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and courage.
• Strong English communication skills both written and spoken required.
• Analytical thinkers with a strong attention to detail.
• Organized and able to manage time and multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work independently on special projects.
• Ability to effectively contribute to a team environment.

It would be nice to have
• Coursework in or exposure to any relational database management software.
• Experience in Microsoft Office products.
