**Job Description**
**AECOM TechWorks** has supported our customers in some of their most challenging times.

AECOM has helped both public and private sector clients collect, manage, process, store and exploit data for thousands of damaged structures, hundreds of thousands of square miles of imagery, dozens of critical infrastructure components, and has deployed dozens of solutions on mobile, tablet, desktop, and browser-based platforms.

**The successful candidate will support AECOM TechWorks in in data analytics, leveraging interdisciplinary techniques to extract knowledge and insights from data in various structured and unstructured forms.** **We're looking for someone to join our data team who is focused on leveraging data assets to deliver actionable and meaningful insights using analytics to our customers.

The candidate will work with large and varied data sets, from multiple data sources, to conduct statistical analysis, generate concise reporting, and present recommendations to clients for future project deliverables.** The home office for this position will be Germantown, MD but the position can be hybrid at any AECOM East Coast office.

The expectation of the candidate selected for this position is that they will of work collaboratively with the team by utilizing Microsoft Teams, JIRA, Confluence and other collaboration and development tools.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assimilate, validate, analyze, and summarize vast quantities of data into information and insights
+ Assist project teams with writing complex queries, stored procedures and views to automate processes and visualize data
+ Maintain up-to-date data processes and re-architect as needed based on more advanced and modernized systems/trends.
+ Develop, update, implement and maintain procedures
+ Develop and prepare reports and relevant presentations
+ Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.

Collaborate with other data analysts, developers, testers, managers, and clients (internal and external)
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements**
+ BA/BS + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education or AA/AS + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education or HS/GED + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
+ Professional experience developing and utilizing relational databases including SQL Server and MySQL is a must.
+ Database experience to include writing SQL queries, views and stored procedures.
+ Professional experience and coding knowledge using Python.
+ Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship or Green Card is required.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Professional experience developing data models using standard diagramming techniques.
+ Professional experience with open-source analysis tools, big data and business intelligence technologies such as Power BI.
+ Professional experience and knowledge of open-source spatial data tools including PostgreSQL.
+ Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
+ Excellent verbal and written skills.
**Additional Information**
+ This position does not offer relocation assistance.
+ Sponsorship for US Employment Authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.

The expected range is $70,000.00 - $84,000.00.
