Job description

Database Analyst Sr Advisor

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
  • Applies knowledge of API (Application Programing Interface) for data services and databases
  • Provides expert knowledge for the design, development, build, analysis, evaluation, installation and administration of database management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, non-relational database architecture and procedures, metadata and repository creation, data recovery, backup plans, and configuration management
  • Designs and implements databases with respect to access methods, access time, batch processes, device allocation, validation checks, organization, ETL tasks, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods
  • Prepares system requirements, source analysis and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation
  • Defines database organizations, standards, controls, procedures, and documentation
  • Provides technical consulting in the definition, design, and creation of a database environment
  • Advises applications development staff and users on data-based solutions to business problems, data architectures, database management system facilities and capabilities, and the operation and tuning of databases
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
  • Consults with executives and customers to deliver complex database solutions
  • Coaches and provides guidance to less-experienced professionals
  • Recognized as an industry leader in database analysis
  • Develops and manages user rights and permissions
  • Required Skills
  • Demonstrable experience creating data storage solutions for web applications
  • Expert knowledge in database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Document DB, MongoDB, and others.
  • Expert in data access management
  • Expert in database security and integrity management
  • Expert in querying databases using SQL, JSON, Python
  • Preferred Skills

  • Competency with work management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Proficient with UML/SysML and Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or commensurate level of experience.

    Additional experience in lieu of formal education will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

    TESA Accreditation Requirements

    A bachelor's degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience,

    OR; An associate's degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience,

    OR; A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience,

    OR; 11 years of recent specialized experience

    Security Clearance Level: Secret with the ability to obtain TS/SCI

    Location: On Customer Site
