The Day Hab.
Program Assistant (DHPA) is responsible for both administrative and direct care services.
They are responsible for maintaining program attendance, billing, petty cash and other administrative duties as assigned by Day Hab.
Program Director.
Assist in the implementation person-centered services for individuals.
This includes assisting with group activities and ADL’s as directed by the program coordinator.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of Position:
Receive telephone calls and incoming mail, relay messages, answer routine inquiries and route the technical inquiries to the proper staff person.
Establish, maintain and revise files.
Perform computer work, including trainee, and program related materials.
Responsible to enter into Pcare the attendance for all of the program attendees each day.
Responsible to check billing in Pcare each to ensure all services have been documented each day.
Assist with the dispersal of petty cash and the collection of receipts
Responsible for visitors sign in sheets and wellness checks for all staff and visitors
Responsible to maintain files for staff sign in sheets and wellness checks
Respect and affirm the human rights, civil rights and responsibilities of the people supported.
Support and teach individuals according to their services, goals and outcomes.
Actively engage individuals in skills development, socialization and task participation across all settings.
Ensure that supports are provided with consideration for each person’s individualized needs and routines.
Provide appropriate levels of supervision on an individualized basis.
Actively engage in all program services as needed including toileting, behavioral interventions, community inclusion, emergencies, physical plant cleanliness, etc.
as needed and required.
Safeguard and respect the confidentiality and privacy of all individuals in accordance to HIPPA regulations
Report all incidents to program management immediately upon discovery as per HeartShare policy, and OPWDD & Justice Center requirements.
Ensure that equipment and supplies are appropriately and safely stored.
Clean as frequently and thoroughly as necessary to meet program cleanliness standards.
Report any hazards or unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor
Participate in staff meetings, in-service trainings and on-site workshops as required for professional growth and development.
Attend external trainings and workshops at direction of direct supervisor or program management.
Maintain certification in *AMAP, CPR/First Aid and SCIP, as require
Undertake any additional tasks and initiatives within the scope of the role as per the specific needs of the programs and individuals and as assigned by supervisor.
