About the PositionIn anticipation of possible openings throughout the academic year and summer sessions, applications are accepted continuously for temporary non-tenure track faculty positions on a part-time basis with occasional opportunities for temporary, full-time appointments.

Positions may become available at any time and are typically filled on a quarterly basis.
Academic Emphasis: Design

Position Responsibilities:

Instruction in various courses assigned by Department Chair.



Required Qualifications

+ BA, BFA or equivalent experience in the Design field

+ Ability to teach courses in any of the following disciplines: fundamentals of graphic design, branding and design strategy, typography, drawing for design, motion design, packaging design, three-dimensional graphic design, web design, visual design, interactive design, user experience, illustration, design history, book arts, design production or publication design.

+ Demonstrated excellent communication skills and professionalism

+ Commitment to working with diverse students and staff, including cultivating learning environments that are equitable and inclusive of students with diverse social identities and backgrounds


Preferred Qualifications

+ Successful teaching experience

+ MFA in Design

+ Extensive industry experience
