Job Description & Requirements


JOB SUMMARY:


Responsible for creative and innovative design presentation artwork for special projects produced by Entertainment including but not limited to Halloween Horror Nights, Christmas, Mardi Gras, New Years, Concert Series, and Grand Openings throughout Universal Orlando.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide outstanding concept development artwork including but not limited to illustrations, computer graphics, ground plans, and detail construction drawings.

  • Accountable for the design execution as assigned by Entertainment Management – from Build documents including hand drafting elevations, to autocad GP’s to 3d modeling, to field art direction work and vendor shop art direction

  • Responsible to create innovative design concepts in clear and easy to understand presentation formats.

  • Assist Scenic Manager in development of design concepts.

  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • EDUCATION: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Theatrical Design Required.
  • EXPERIENCE: 

  • 1-3 Years: Experience in Theatrical Design and Execution Required.

  • 3-5 Years: Experience in Theatrical Design Presentations Preferred.

  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
