Job description

As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for three critical areas: converting inbound leads into clients, generating and nurturing outbound leads through networking and events, and driving process improvements to enhance our sales effectiveness.

This encompasses conducting meetings, writing proposals, maintaining engagement, securing signed agreements, and continuously optimizing our sales approach and tools.

This full-time position offers a hybrid work environment, requiring your presence in our St. Paul office two days each week, blending in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Responsibilities

Your duties span a broad spectrum of sales activities, including:

  • Efficiently handling the entire new client sales process for assigned inbound and outbound leads.
  • Scheduling and leading meetings with potential clients, primarily via Zoom, with occasional in-person meetings.
  • Running all meetings and writing proposals, with the support, when appropriate, of internal experts in discovery sessions and proposal presentations to craft tailored solutions and quotes.
  • Keep the client engaged.

    This includes conducting diligent follow-ups post proposal presentations and sharing updates on newly launched Plaudit sites and relevant news.
  • Maintaining an organized and up-to-date CRM system.
  • Creating and processing agreements and Statements of Work (SOW) into systems.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking events, industry conferences, and community engagement.
  • Research, recommend, and implement new sales processes, tools and methodologies to enhance productivity.
  • Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in the web design or development with an agency or as a freelancer.
  • Proven track record in outbound sales, with experience in lead generation and networking.
  • Positive and energetic demeanor with a friendly approach.
  • Solid understanding of UX, design theory, Internet marketing, and web technology fundamentals, without needing technical implementation skills.
  • Proactive, willing to undertake various tasks, and eager to learn and grow.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and independently design and implement tools or systems to improve business operations.
  • Eagerness to explore and apply emerging technologies—including AI—to enhance efficiency, streamline workflows, and drive innovation.
  • Comfortable with networking and representing the company at events and networking functions.
  • Must reside in the Twin Cities area.
