Devereux Floridaprovides programs and services for adolescents and adults who face significant emotional, behavioral and intellectual/developmental challenges.
Located in **Winter Park, FL** , this position is responsible for:
+ **Providing Personal Care** : Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
+ **Behavioral Support** : Implement behavior management plans and support individuals in developing coping strategies.
+ **Skill Development** : Facilitate skill-building activities, including social skills, communication, and life skills training.
+ **Crisis Intervention** : Recognize signs of distress and de-escalate situations effectively and safely.
+ **Documentation** : Maintain accurate records of client progress, incidents, and daily activities.
+ **Transportation** : Assist clients with transportation to appointments, community activities, or school.
+ **Collaboration** : Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, nurses, and family members.
+ **Training and Education** : Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on best practices in behavioral health support.

**Salary:** **_Starts at $17.00 - $20.75 / hour_** **_PLUS_** _additional compensation:_ _Shift differential (up to $2.00 / hour)._ _Relevant experience in field (up to $2.00 / hour)._ _Credit for higher education ($.48/hr for Bachelors degree; $.72 / hr for Masters degree)._
**Shifts: Currently hiring for 2nd (2:00pm to 11:00pm) and 3rd shift (10:00pm - 9:00am).
You** **will be required to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday).**

**Qualifications**
**Education:**
+ High school diploma or GED required
+ Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, Social Work and experience in the field is _preferred_
**Experience:**
+ Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), DSP, Direct Care, Behavior Technician with experience working with IDD, Mental Health and/or dually diagnosed populations _preferred_
**Schedule:**
+ Must be able to complete a two-week (Monday - Friday) new hire orientation class; hours are approximately 9:00am to 5:00pm each day.
Orientation is held in Orlando by the international airport.
+ **Must be able** **to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday).**
+ **Must be able to work holidays.**
**Other Requirements:**
+ Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test, Physical, and TB Test.
+ Valid driver's license
+ Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes.
Must be able to drive a car and a passenger van (which holds up to 15 passengers).
