**Director Data Engineering**

Publicis Sapient is looking for a Director, Data Engineering to lead top-notch technologists to enable real business outcomes for our enterprise healthcare clients.

You will create impact for some of the world’s biggest brands, by translating their needs into transformative solutions that provide valuable insight.

Working with the latest data technologies in the healthcare industry, you will be instrumental in helping our clients evolve for a more digital future.
Successful candidates will have healthcare specific Data Engineering expertise coupled with a proven track record of creating, steering and closing new business opportunities.

**Your Impact**

**Your Daily Duties & Impact:**

+ Act as a trusted advisor to healthcare clients by leveraging data for customer acquisition and engagement as part of large digital transformation journeys
+ Work closely with our client's providing evaluation and recommendations of design patterns and solutions for data platforms, with a focus on ETL, ELT, ALT, lambda, and kappa architectures
+ Define SLAs, SLIs, and SLOs with inputs from clients, product owners, and engineers to deliver data-driven interactive experiences to our clients
+ Provide expertise, proof-of-concept, prototype, and reference implementations of architectural solutions for cloud, on-prem, hybrid, and edge-based data platforms
+ Partner with leadership to bring opportunities to closure and transition to delivery.
+ Represent the PS portfolio and developing opportunities through the early stages of the selling cycle, to the proposal stage.

Work with the requisite Client Partner / healthcare team to drive the ongoing pursuit, client oral presentations and competitive win strategy.
+ Provide technical inputs to agile processes, such as epic, story, and task definition to resolve issues and remove barriers throughout the lifecycle of client engagements
+ Creation and maintenance of infrastructure-as-code for cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, Helm, and Google Cloud Deployment Manager
+ Mentor, support, and manage team members
+ Metadata definition and management via data catalogs, service catalogs, and stewardship tools such as OpenMetadata, DataHub, Alation, AWS Glue Catalog, Google Data Catalog, and similar
+ SDLC optimization across workstreams within a solution
+ Code review and mentorship experience
+ Interacting with clients, vendors, and Publicis Groupe peers with a focus on strategic optimizations, quality control, and adherence to the Digital Business Transformation vision
+ Interviewing and assessing prospective team members, new hires, vendors, and other contributors across a project community
+ Proposal creation, including staffing plans, timelines, and inputs to budget discovery
+ Presentations to teams, clients, and the wider engineering community both within and outside of Publicis Groupe

**Qualifications**

**Skills & Experience**

+ Exceptional data engineering skills with distributed computing background and proven experience in delivering large scale data platforms within healthcare payer, provider space.
+ Create new pursuits in one or multiple target healthcare accounts and bring forward clear and compelling client propositions.
+ Strive to provide continual value-add to clients through Industry expertise, domain expertise, or sales leadership and eminence.
+ Data processing programming using SQL, DBT, Python, and similar tools
+ Logical programming in Python, Spark, PySpark, Java, Javascript, and/or Scala
+ Data ingest, validation, and enrichment pipeline design and implementation
+ Cloud-native data platform design with a focus on streaming and event-driven architectures
+ Data modeling, querying, and optimization for relational, NoSQL, timeseries, and graph databases and data warehouses and data lakes
+ Hands-on technologist with deep expertise in big data ecosystem for data integration, data storage, compute framework, analytics, and advanced visualization (i.e., ETL Tools, Streaming Tools, No-SQL data bases, Spark, Reporting Tools, AI/ML Platforms)
+ Hands-on experience across leading public cloud data platforms (Amazon Web Services, Azure, Google Cloud, Snowflake)
+ Expertise in data governance within the healthcare industry (HIPPA, FHIR,) for big data space with knowledge of various MDM/entity resolution solutions
+ Ability to lead teams that rapidly learn the client’s current digital ecosystem and produce a future data landscape vision and strategy considering the transformation agenda and business goals
+ Have a point of view and understanding of build vs.

buy, performance considerations, hosting, commercial models, business intelligence, reporting, and analytics
+ Excellent client communication and facilitating skills, ability to influence others and gain consensus, and team collaboration
+ Combination of proficient consulting, business, strategy, technical and people skills
+ Test programming using automated testing frameworks, data validation and quality frameworks, and data lineage frameworks

**Additional Information**

The pay range: $168,000-$252,000.

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient.

Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work.
