How you will make an impact
The Director, Human Resources – Learning & Development is a strategic leader within our Human Resources team and is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of a comprehensive suite of development programs aimed at enhancing leadership skills, strengthening Halozyme’s organizational culture, supporting and enhancing our talent pipeline, and refining performance management practices.
The Director, Learning & Development, plays a crucial role in aligning our talent development initiatives with the strategic goals of the company, thereby fostering a robust learning environment that prepares employees for current and future challenges.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:
Develop and oversee a portfolio of strategic development programs that support leadership growth, cultural enhancement, succession planning, talent calibration, and performance management, ensuring they align with Halozyme’s Talent Strategies and overall business objectives.
Collaborate with CHRO to shape and implement the overall talent management strategy, ensuring alignment with Halozyme’s strategic goals and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Work with senior leadership to identify and establish clear learning objectives that address the evolving developmental needs of our employees and resonate with all stakeholders.
Design and deliver dynamic learning experiences using a variety of instructional methods to accommodate diverse learning preferences, facilitating engaging sessions that drive tangible skill development.
Enhance and deliver an onboarding experience for new employees and hiring managers to assimilate into the Halozyme culture and setting up new hires for success.
Facilitate a smooth integration process through training and development programs that address cultural differences, bridge skill gaps and equip employees with the necessary knowledge to operate effectively in Halozyme
Implement and refine assessment tools and metrics to evaluate program success, driving continuous improvement and informed enhancements to learning outcomes using data analytics to support decision-making and gain insights into the effectiveness of development programs, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with strategic goals.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree with at least 15 years of Human Resources experience, Graduate or Master’s degree is preferred (An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered)
Solid background in program management and a track record of designing and delivering impactful development programs.
Prior experience managing or facilitating flagship development programs is preferred.
Experience with learning technologies like LMS, online learning platforms, gamification and video creation.
Proven experience in leading change initiatives and developing leaders within a corporate environment.
Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint to analyze data and present insights effectively.

The most likely base pay range for this position is $165K - $231K per year.
Several factors, such as experience, tenure, skills, and particular business needs, will determine an individual’s exact level of compensation.
Base salary is only one element of employee compensation at Halozyme.
Total compensation could include bonuses, sales incentives, and equity awards.
