The Director of Operations is a member of the Leadership and Senior Staff teams and plays a key role managing the strategic and daily operations of the agency including: financial management and purchasing, budgeting, workforce planning, technology issues and the MNIT relationship, facility issues and the building management relationship, and administrative and policy oversight.
The Director of Operations is responsible for ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of the delivery of all operational services; and supports the mission of the agency so that the CEB has the financial, human, and technical resources necessary to accomplish its goals.
**Minimum Qualifications**
To be qualified for and considered for this position, ensure that your **resume and cover letter** contains descriptions of your work experiences sufficient for comparison against the requirements stated below and indicate the beginning and ending month and year for each job held.
+ Four (4) years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Human Resources, Financial Management, Program Management, or Office Management.
*A bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, human resources, accounting, or related field may substitute for one year of experience.
A master’s degree in a related field may substitute for 18 months of experience.
+ Demonstrated leadership experience sufficient to build and manage organizational projects and stakeholder relationships, and influence decision makers
+ Communication skills sufficient to present information in clear and understandable terms to various audiences including levels of management and agency staff.
+ Ability to interact, build collaborative partnerships, and establish effective working relationships with fellow supervisors, managers, board members, the public, other agencies and local units of government.
+ Organizational skills to manage several concurrent projects with multiple state agencies and multitask in a fast-paced environment
**Preferred Qualifications**
The following qualifications are strongly desired of applicants seeking consideration for this position:
+ Experience in public sector financial management or budgeting.
+ Experience with problem-solving methodologies, principles, tools, and strategies.
+ Experience building and demonstrating a shared vision to foster systematic and strategic thinking.
+ Experience with the state’s accounting and procurement system - Statewide Integrated Financial Tool (SWIFT) and with the state’s payroll and personnel management system - Statewide Employee Management Application (SEMA4).
+ Detail-oriented with ability to develop documents, spreadsheets, reports, and correspondence and to cross-check complicated documents, invoices, and financial reports.
+ Demonstrated working knowledge of state government policies, procedures, processes, laws and rules related to finance, accounting, or human resources.
