The Director of Network Engineering and Operations is a senior technical leader responsible for the strategic planning, design, implementation, and operation of the organization’s network systems.

This pivotal role ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of the network infrastructure, aligning it with enterprise goals and objectives.

The Director develops and executes network strategies that support the organization’s mission, oversees resource allocation to ensure optimal performance, and maintains network reliability and security through proactive measures and continuous monitoring.
This leader collaborates closely with other departments to align infrastructure with organizational goals, leads project planning and execution—including design, vendor evaluation, and implementation across multiple systems—and provides technical guidance and supervision in the development, implementation, and support of network systems and security.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing and leading technical teams, deep knowledge of network equipment, protocols, tools, and related infrastructure and security, and strong project management capabilities to oversee complex network initiatives.

They should also be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and make informed recommendations in areas requiring advanced technical expertise.
This Director will manage a team of 10 focused on networking and an additional 14 in telecommunications.

Additional Qualifications
The Director must have the technical depth to lead projects and communicate effectively across teams, including presenting to C-level and board members.

A background in telecommunications or cloud technologies is preferred.

Candidates with experience in healthcare, life sciences, or financial services will be prioritized due to familiarity with HIPAA and SOX compliance.

A background in telecommunication or cloud technologies is preferred.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $225000.00/yr.
