DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC INFORMATION, OER, Sloan - Office of External Relations, leads the development and execution of data strategy to advance alumni engagement and fundraising at MIT Sloan; oversees a team of two analysts and two coordinators, providing leadership in data governance, reporting, and analytics; ensures that accurate, timely insights are available to support fundraising strategies and track performance against institutional goals.
Key responsibilities include managing and mentoring the team; developing performance metrics and dashboards; ensuring data integrity across systems; collaborating closely with fundraising, alumni experience, and annual giving teams to meet their data and reporting needs, and partners with MIT-wide systems teams to improve CRM functionality and implement new technologies; and playing a vital part in aligning data systems with strategic priorities, supporting informed decision-making, and maintaining best practices in donor privacy and compliance.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: Master’s degree in related field such as business, data science, information systems; a minimum of seven years of Institutional research experience; progressively responsible experience in data strategy, analytics, and systems development; and demonstrated ability to lead enterprise-wide data infrastructure initiatives, including data marts, CRM systems, and reporting platforms; proven experience with project management methodologies, tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, and lifecycle management.
PREFERRED: MIT experience; ten years of progressively responsible experience in data strategy, analytics, and systems development, preferably within advancement, higher education, or mission-driven environments; experience with fundraising and constituent management systems (e.g., Advance, Salesforce); and certification (e.g., PMP, Agile/Scrum).
