Responsibilities
The Distribution Inventory Systems Manager position is responsible for achieving the operational and financial objectives for the Distribution Center, ensuring a cost-effective operation, as well as efficient utilization of the facility.
This position is responsible for the accurate reflection of inventory within the Distribution Center along with the successful deployment of tasks utilizing the warehouse management system.
Working closely with the distribution leadership team, this position oversees and directs the Custom Order Fulfillment, Inventory Control and System Planning teams while working closely with Stores, Buying, Merchandising and Accounting.
This is a full-time, on-site, salaried, exempt position at our Aberdeen, MD facility.
Drives the vision and work to support the high growth rate of our Distribution Center and Custom Order Fulfillment DepartmentCollaborates with Business Solutions, Customer Solutions, Transportation, Supply Chain Analytics, and Visual Sales teams on custom order businessMakes strategic and effective decisions in the best interest of our customers and our company, taking care to objectively process informationDirects and evaluates the flow of work for the off-desk Inventory Coordinators and System Planners including accuracy initiatives and research, order allocation/task creation, managing replenishment flow along with managing special order flow to our storesOversees trouble shooting and coordination of multiple tasks associated to product cycle counting, processing merchandise and supply requests for the corporate office, managing product holds, direct to customer orders, launching of the store replenishment workload and the reprioritizing of tasksAssists multiple areas throughout the company to resolve inventory issues/discrepancies, manage special requests related to inventory flow to stores, and provide research and data as necessary to support inventory adjustmentsEnsures internal audit and cycle counting requirements are met annuallyProvides guidance and support to all distribution center departmentsLeads, coaches, trains and manages the values and attitudes of all distribution employees by managing behavior, actions and performance through proper communication and follow-upConducts timely and objective performance reviews of direct reportsManages corrective/disciplinary action when necessary in collaboration with distribution leadership and Human Resource Department.The Benefits of Working Here

What You Bring To Us
College degree preferred with a concentration in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management3-5 years of distribution management experience requiredWorking knowledge of Warehouse Management and Labor Management Systems requiredProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word are a mustData interpretation skills with ability to recommend solutionsAbility to work in a non-climate-controlled environmentAbility to travel 10% a year, based on the business needsExperience managing others including career development, directing and evaluating workCommitted to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work a varied schedule and additional hours based on changing business needsKnowledge of industry business and passion for following trends in the industryAbility to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organizationAbility to quickly separate the mission-critical tasks from the lower priority tasks; focuses on the most value-added projects of the day or weekStrong time management and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at onceMust be at least 18 years of age
