The Systems Analyst is the lead of business analysts who is responsible for partnering with business team and IT delivery team to define best-fit requirements based on system capabilities to achieve business values.

This role requires comprehensive understandings of systems capabilities to propose and discuss feasible solutions that could contribute the best to business values.

This role also needs to provide guidance and lead other BA members.

This position will also contribute to the upskilling of IT teams with much needed development capabilities on core IT disciplines for technologies in AIG's strategic investment path, specifically the AIG Connect Japan IT Modernization program.



Job Purpose

We are seeking a technically skilled and forward-thinking Distribution Application Lead to join our Distribution Applications Team.

In this role, you will support and enhance business operations through application development, with a growing emphasis on integrating Generative AI (GenAI) into our technology landscape.

Job Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities

・Lead and manage application development initiatives in the distribution business domain.



・Champion the adoption and implementation of Generative AI tools and technologies.



・Collaborate effectively with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to deliver solutions.



・Communicate clearly and appropriately for diverse technical and business audiences.



・Independently research and evaluate emerging technologies to improve systems and user experience.



・Ensure full compliance with governance, security, and regulatory standards.



・Actively seek and implement continuous improvements in systems, processes, and team practices.



・Contribute to a team culture built on growth mindset, innovation, collaboration, and accountability.

・Take full ownership of assigned applications across their lifecycle, from consultation, design, development to testing and deployment.

+ Agencies, Software vendors, Sonpo Kyokai, Other companies


Required Skills and Experiences

Educational Qualification

+ Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Specific Qualifications

+ Solid technical background in application and software development.

+ Broad IT knowledge across systems, integration, infrastructure, and emerging technologies.

+ Experience or interest in Generative AI technologies.

+ Experience collaborating with external vendors and cross-functional teams.

+ A growth mindset with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and continuously learn.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear, logical thinking.

+ Understanding of Japanese insurance business culture and workplace norms.

+ Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native application architectures.

+ Prior experience in the insurance industry is advantageous.

+ Passion for innovation and digital transformation.

+ Ability to lead and support the adoption of new technologies within structured frameworks.

+ Proficiency in both Japanese and English communication a plus
