Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Domain Data Modeler to support our client's expansion of Palantir Foundry across its defense division.
Following a successful 17-week proof of concept that produced a variety of tools, the client is now focused on building and modifying ontologies and developing applications on top of them.
The ideal candidate will have strong Python development skills, experience with data modeling, and responsible for building ontologies using Foundry’s Python or low-code/no-code interfaces.
Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting complex datasets, constructing and refining ontologies, and developing tools that leverage these data structures.
Candidates must bring domain expertise in at least one of the following areas: supply chain, manufacturing, engineering, or quality.

Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, analytics engineering, or data modeling
- Domain expertise in at least one of the following: manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, or quality data
- Strong SQL skills for querying, joining, aggregating, and optimizing performance on large datasets
- Proficiency in Python for data cleaning, feature engineering, automation, and custom analytics
- Experience building dashboards and BI artifacts to communicate KPIs and insights to stakeholders
- Proven ability to capture requirements, translate business problems into analytical solutions, and measure impact
- Strong analytical thinking, systems analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills demonstrated through past projects - Experience in large enterprise environments and familiarity with tools such as Palantir Foundry, Protégé, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, or Quality Management Systems (QMS)
