Responsibilities
The Drafter III is responsible for providing computer aided design (CAD) drafting, preparing drawings and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, blueprints, Red Lines, and sketches.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create accurate OSP network mapsPrepares drawings and designs according to client engineering specifications using applicable softwareProvide support to other internal teams as needed such as permit packages and traffic control plansMake design decisions regarding construction and safety methods in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations as well as client supplied informationPreparing detailed Construction Drawings to clients adhering to industry standardsCommunicating with internal staff and clients over phone and emailProduction/Time management of multiple workflowsPerforming quality checks on plan design drawingsFamiliarity with telecom projects detailing outdoor equipment, indoor building layouts and fiber diagramsDetail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team playerExcellent verbal & written communications skills, relationship building, self-starter, excellent time management and organizational skillsAbove average attention to detailAbility to work as part of a team or independentlyAbility to set up and manage CAD drafting and plan preparation standardsAbility to read information and instructions and interpret and analyze contents from materials such as technical reportsAbility to solve problems that are frequent and unique.
CAD draftsman may need to use creativity and judgement due to frequently changing conditionsAbility to complete tasks with latitude to decide what work will be required well in advance of actual activities Qualifications
Skills and Experience:
Must have High School Diploma or GEDMin.
2-Years of experience working with OSP permitted construction plan sets.2-Year Technical or Associate Degree in CADD preferredAbility or knowledge of using the following machines, tools, equipment, electronic devices and software; Excel, Word, Auto CAD, O-Calc.Hard work pays off.
