Ecommerce Photographer & Editor Job at Glen Raven, Inc. in Burlington

Job description

The Ecommerce Product Photographer & Editor will support the Glen Raven portfolio of brands, capturing & editing compelling and technically accurate product photography.

While this role is heavily focused on supporting the thousands of products marketed and sold by Glen Raven’s distribution brand, Trivantage, this role will also support fabric product photography for Glen Raven’s flagship and well-known brand, Sunbrella.

Additionally, capturing photography and videography for corporate brand communications for the parent company, Glen Raven, may be needed.

Given the span of product photography and editing required in this role, the candidate will coordinate shooting, editing, resizing, renaming, organizing, and exporting photography to cross functional marketing & web teams across the portfolio.

The captured photography should be compelling & technically accurate to support the selling-cycle of each brand directly shown in B2B and D2C environments, including but not limited to web, email, social, product catalogs, video, presentations, and sales support.

Our ideal candidate will be forward thinking and knowledgeable when it comes to technology.

As we seek innovative ways to handle product photography volume over time, this candidate will be open-minded, curious and willing to play a key role in testing and managing supporting technology as part of a suite of tools & skills.

*** This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days of working from home***

Responsibilities:

  • Photograph products; edit, retouch, and color correct images for placement on our sites, email campaigns, social media posts, and more.
  • Maintain photo asset workflow standards including organizing, renaming, and resizing high-resolution image files properly into a variety of internal servers, websites, Acoustic and Bynder digital asset management systems, and more.
  • Ensure quality control when reviewing images before going live on websites.
  • Apply Alt Text and SEO friendly tags, titles, and descriptions where directed.
  • Assist—and sometimes take the lead—shooting lifestyle/editorial images locally or on location.
  • Special projects – such as product and company video shooting and editing – as needed.
  • Stay current with photography trends and willingness to learn new software and technology.
  • Comfortable testing, exploring and operating new technologies, in partnership with capturing photography.
  • Experienced with managing multiple work streams & projects at one time, demonstrating progress & ability to prioritize.
  • Strong attention to detail and timelines while managing multiple projects at a time.
  • Ability to work quickly, independently, and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BFA in photography, new media, or other visual arts) is preferred.

An Associate’s Degree with equivalent experience is acceptable.
  • 3+ years of related experience.
  • Web and/or catalog experience with a B2B or D2C company.
  • Background in lighting, composition, and product styling.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro).
  • Prefer experience with a Digital Asset Manager (DAM), Product Information Manager (PIM), and/or Content Management System (CMS).
  • Studio-style (whitebox) product photography and editing.
  • Comfortable researching thousands of photos across multiple image servers.
  • Batch processing of images and files.
  • Proficient in the planning, capturing, editing, and production of video content.
  • Photo work samples or portfolio to share with us.
  • Proficient in adopting emerging technologies
