Edifecs Senior Software Engineer (EDI) Remote

Job description

+ Create/update maps, guidelines and profiles using Edifecs tools such as EDIFECS SpecBuilder, Map Builder, EAM as per functional logic.

+ Create maps and guidelines (xml, DFF, PFF) for Healthcare EDI transactions like 278, 837 I/P, 834, 835, 820 transactions.

+ Responsible for design, development, and implementation of Edifecs solution.

+ Excellent understanding of technical and business challenges relating to EDI product upgrades.

+ Able to configure the Edifecs tools, and understand systems integration, application, technical behavior, and business / technical requirements.

+ Experience with Edifecs Healthcare 9.x suite, and Healthcare Payer systems.

+ Detailed understanding of EDI Healthcare transaction sets, e.g. 270/271, 820, 834, 837 I/P, 835.

+ Knowledge of software development / implementation processes.

+ Able to explain technical solutions and fixes to stakeholders.

+ Responsible for any configuration changes in XEngine configuration files for any trading partner specific validation.

+ Configure Severity files to perform custom error validation.

+ Coordinate with other application teams and provide needed support to Operations and QA team.

+ Proficient with Monitoring tools in EDI and remediating issues in result to performance issues.

+ Experience with development of Groovy Script.Experience with tools and code that work in a development environment including using scripts, Java, and other coding tools that work with Edifecs.

+ Required to have an abundance of quality production development experience with Edifecs Applications as a developer, engineering and admin level.

+ Edifecs skills Troubleshoot: Identify and resolve technical and functional problems.

+ Edifecs skills Develop: Proficient in creating, developing and producing maps within Edifecs SpecBuilder.

+ Edifecs skills Test: Perform load and performance testing.

+ Edifecs skills Analyze: Analyze problems and requirements.

+ Edifecs skills Maintain: Maintain code and systems.

+ Edifecs skills Integrate: Integrate systems with databases and other applications.

+ Edifecs skills Document: Document research, design, and modifications.

+ Knowledge and experience using Jira and other development tools for, Agile practices, are highly useful and recommended.

+ Background in working in AWS

+ Agile skills and understanding of Dev/Ops Agile is recommended.

+ HIPAA and other health care compliance experience is recommended.

+ Training from Edifecs as well experience in knowledge of Edifecs system and tools is recommended to be successful in the position.



This position services as an expert technical and industry resource to management, clients and development staff in new uses of information technology and in all phases of major system and subsystem development.

Provides consultation on internal and industry IT technical and business process capabilities including leadership in the identification and recommendation of new IT opportunities.

Formulates, contributes to, and directs task identification, work effort estimates, and work schedules for research, prototype, and proof-of-concept IT activities.

Directs and participates in software/hardware releases and installation tasks.

+ Analyzes problems and program in two or more programming language/platforms.

+ Understands and develops functional and non-functional requirements for a system.

+ Works with multiple programming frameworks.

+ Develops, tests and maintains code using software development methodology and appropriate technologies for the system being used.

+ Integrates systems to databases and other applications using middleware such as SnapLogic and consume or produce SOAP or REST based services, etc.

+ Agile, DevOPS and Cloud:

+ Possesses proficiency in automated testing strategies, including TDD.

+ Understands advanced concepts of Containers, Micro-Services, Continuous Integration.

+ Understands Cloud computing concepts and how to build Cloud deployable application.

+ Performs load and performance testing on the application and do regular performance tuning.

Salary Range

$77,785
Salary Maximum:
$124,455

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data.
