eDiscovery Coordinator
A well-respected law firm is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive eDiscovery Coordinator to play a crucial role in supporting its legal teams.
The ideal candidate will bring a solid foundation in eDiscovery practices and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with litigation attorneys, paralegals, and external service providers on a diverse range of legal matters.
This position offers a flexible work environment, incorporating both hybrid and in-office work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage central team communications, ensuring timely and informative responses to stakeholders.Accurately initiate new projects and tasks within project management software for seamless team collaboration.Administer network drive access and implement security protocols to maintain data integrity.Provide comprehensive support for technology platforms, including document review, virtual data rooms, and secure file transfer.Collaborate with Specialists and Project Managers on electronic data processing, loading, advanced searching, and secure exporting.Perform critical quality control on deliverables, verifying processing outputs, data loading, search results, exports, analysis, and production quality.Support case teams with the effective use of virtual data rooms, online workspaces, and FTP solutions for document management.Assist case teams in preparing for legal proceedings (depositions, arbitrations, trials) by ensuring efficient access to electronic information.Manage hardware and software procurement, track inventory, and allocate licenses.Collaborate with team members and external vendors to document case information and workflows.Oversee case closure activities, including secure data archiving and comprehensive documentation.Prepare and submit accurate billing information for team members.Assist with security audits by deactivating former employee system accounts.Support security compliance through Access Control List creation and Uptime Metric compilation.Participate in non-billable projects and the development of internal documentation, including software rollouts and data migrations.Proactively identify and escalate potential issues and risks. Required Knowledge and Skills:
Proven experience using project management software for task and workflow management.Basic understanding of Generative AI and its potential in the legal field.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Strong curiosity and proactive approach to learning eDiscovery technologies and workflows.Highly desirable: Experience with Relativity or similar document review platforms.Preferred: Knowledge of various eDiscovery software applications.Advantageous: Familiarity with HighQ or other virtual data room platforms.A plus: Experience with Opus 2 or other case management software. Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of professional experience directly supporting eDiscovery processes in a legal or corporate setting.Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.Significant asset: Relevant industry certifications (CEDS, RCA, PMP, CIPP).
