Editor, Post-Production Job Opening In Los Angeles – Now Hiring Confidential

Job description

UTA seeks a skilled, professional, and enterprising Post-Production Editor to join its global Corporate Communications team, serving as a key member of the Media Production department in our Los Angeles office.

Media Production produces an eclectic array of video content to support our corporate storytelling and our business verticals, which span entertainment, music, the creator economy, sports, and brands.

This position will touch all of it, and either lead or support in the creation of company and department sizzles, client reels, short-form video and graphic content for UTA’s social feeds, short-form episodic original content, event recaps leveraging mixed media, and high-quality motion graphic assets.

We collaborate with colleagues across Communications, Events, and the agency to capture, create, and elevate meaningful video content that advances UTA’s leadership in the marketplace.

The ideal candidates bring strong technical skills, a sharp creative eye, and an understanding of how to produce and edit for a range of channels and platform, both internal and external.

You can edit with precision, pace, and storytelling instinct—creating content that connects with stakeholders and supports the project’s goals while maintaining communication with your team throughout the process.

You should be comfortable shifting between different types of projects and styles, from fast-turn social edits to polished client reels.

While you’ll often work as part of a larger production workflow, you will at times manage entire projects independently, from ingest to final delivery.

We value team members who are willing to pitch ideas and help beyond the edit, including hands-on support during original productions.

You bring both creativity, experience, and cultural fluency to the table.

An innate understanding of today’s entertainment and media landscape is a must.

You’re confident in your skills and collaborative in your approach, balancing artistic vision with solid project management and a strong grasp of technology, including emerging AI tools to support production cycles.

You are detail-oriented and motivated by the chance to create content that people will love.

Portfolio:
Please submit a link to a portfolio when applying.

Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

Strong portfolios demonstrate a broad range of styles, techniques, and video formats.

They ideally include a reel and several full work samples, and for major brands.

We appreciate applicants denoting their contributions in creating each piece (i.e. Editor, Writer, Animator, etc.)

The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $100,000 commensurate with experience and skills.

What You Will Need

  • Experience: 5+ years as a video editor or producer-editor (“preditor”).

Portfolio shows range, storytelling skill, and technical ability.
  • Editing Expertise: Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro, with working knowledge of other nonlinear systems (Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, Avid).

Collaborative and flexible, with a willingness to support production when needed.
  • Pitching & Presenting: Client-facing experience is a plus but not required, as the team is sometimes expected to formally present video creative, concepts, editing solutions, and live reviews of video products to internal teams, external partners, and clients
