Overview

We’re on the hunt for an Editor to lead and shape coverage for Tech Brew, one of Morning Brew’s largest consumer publications.

This is a role that combines editorial strategy with hands-on daily newsletter production.

If you love blending strategy with editing and mentoring writers, this role is for you.

Tech Brew is relaunching as a B2C publication covering daily tech news and trends—from AI to wearables to Elon (sometimes).

The newsletter will combine original reporting and aggregation to help readers understand the rapidly changing tech landscape.

Our audience expects trustworthy, engaging business content that informs personal and professional decisions.

Our positions are remote-friendly with a preference for being able to work from the NYC HQ.

Here’s What You’ll Be Working On

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Tech Brew newsletter production process, including assigning/approving stories, editing pieces, and writing.
  • Help lead content strategy for Tech Brew’s relaunch.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of one writer and one copy editor.
  • Generate, develop, and execute ideas for non-newsletter products and other special editorial projects.
  • Write stories as needed.
  • Enforce Morning Brew Inc.’s editorial guidelines, ensuring high-level substance, Brew tone and voice, and standard copy.
  • Support optimization of existing content processes and establish new ones where needed.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of top and line-editing experience, preferably covering tech or business news.
  • Experience managing writers.
  • Ability to write in Morning Brew Inc.’s style (engaging, informative, clever).
  • Flexible, able to blend strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Ability to experiment with, iterate on, and make informed decisions about new product offerings.
  • Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to operate in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines.

Compensation

$105,000–$110,000 per year.

Final offers will be within this salary range and commensurate with experience.

Total offer package includes benefits described below.
