Salary: $1885 / Week

Educational Sign Language Interpreter | $60/hr | Medford, OR | ASAP–End of School Year

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking two in-person Educational Sign Language Interpreters to support deaf and hard-of-hearing students across Southern Oregon.

This full-time itinerant role is based in the Medford area and includes travel between school sites.

The assignment begins ASAP and runs through the end of the school year, with strong potential for extension.

Position Overview
+ Role: Educational Sign Language Interpreter
+ Location: Medford, OR (itinerant across Southern Oregon counties)
+ Schedule: Monday–Friday, full-time
+ Hours: 40 paid hours/week
+ Start Date: ASAP (Estimated: 11/3/2025)
+ Duration: Through the end of the school year (approx.

30 weeks)
+ Openings: 2


Compensation
+ Pay Rate: $60/hour


Responsibilities
+ Facilitate communication between deaf/hard-of-hearing students and staff using American Sign Language (ASL)
+ Interpret classroom instruction, activities, and discussions
+ Support student access to curriculum and learning environments
+ Travel between school sites as part of an itinerant assignment


Qualifications
+ Proficiency in American Sign Language
+ Score of 3.5+ on the EIPA Performance Assessment or hold RID NIC, CI, or CT certification
+ One of the following:
+ Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Interpreter Education or related field
+ Passing score on the EIPA Written Test
+ Certificate of Completion from an Interpreter Training Program or extensive experience with sign language
+ Regular contact with deaf children or adults preferred
+ State Board of Education Initial Sign Language Interpreter Certificate (as applicable)
+ EIPA and/or RID certification (as required by state or client)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
+ CPR, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
