For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States.

NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Bureau of Reclamation (USBR).

These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, and technical support to the Bureau of Reclamation through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).

Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period.

Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary.

The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will?

relationship.

This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.

Qualifications:

BA/BS Degree in Electrical Engineering?

with minimum additional experience of 25 year(s) in ?Powerplant model validation, development of models, control system testing and tuning, and protective relaying.?

  • ??

    Professional Engineer license?
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat

Duties:

??Provide electrical engineering services of model validation of Reclamation powerplants, development of new models for use in the Western Electric Coordinating Council (WECC) system, and transfer knowledge to engineers learning model development.?

  • ??Develop model and validation for Reclamation powerplants undergoing NERC/WECC testing in FY26 requiring modeling to be complete 6 months after testing.?   70%
  • ??Transfer of knowledge to engineers learning model validation?   20%
  • Development, evaluation, and refinement of new models for use in the WECC system model and validation   10%
