Electrical Engineer - Energy Infrastructure Job Opening In Buffalo – Now Hiring LaBella Associates


Job description

We are currently hiring an Electrical Engineer in our Building Engineering Division – Energy Infrastructure team in our Buffalo, NY office.

LaBella’s Energy Infrastructure team provides comprehensive energy efficiency and renewable energy consultancy, including feasibility analyses and design.

Our engineers are well-versed in all aspects of building and energy systems design relating to a variety of new construction, renovations, and design/build projects for a variety of clientele.

The Electrical Engineer will work with our team in a lead role on a variety of decarbonization/electrification/renewable energy projects to develop projects in feasibility stages all the way through design and construction.

A successful candidate will be able to work well in a team, mentor junior engineers, and communicate effectively with clients.

Duties

  • Design building electrical systems
  • Design photovoltaic, battery storage systems, and grid interconnection
  • Field investigations to document existing conditions
  • Interact directly with clients by completing analysis of design options, cost benefit comparisons, and communicating results to assist in decision making process.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and utility requirements

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred
  • Well-rounded experience in building electrical system and/or distributed energy system design
  • Experience with Revit or AutoCAD
  • New York State Professional Engineer’s license is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary Range: $70,000 - $120,000 per year
