**Job Description Overview**

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Electrical Engineering Intern to join our engineering team at the Grand Prairie, TX plant.

This internship provides hands-on experience supporting the design, testing, and maintenance of machinery used in heavy-duty automation solutions.

The ideal candidate is eager to apply classroom knowledge and learn on the job to solve real world problems in a manufacturing and industrial environment.

**Roles and Responsibilities**

+ Assist in the design and integration of electrical systems for industrial machinery, including motors, drives, sensors, and control panels
+ Support the development and review of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and cable routing plans
+ Participate in the setup, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical components and systems on machinery
+ Help ensure compliance with relevant safety and electrical standards (NEC, UL, etc.)
+ Collaborate with software, mechanical, controls and manufacturing engineers to support system-level integration
+ Assist in updating and maintaining technical documentation and equipment records
+ Create and execute systematic test plans following the scientific method
+ Learn and apply ITW’s Customer Back Innovation process

**Job Requirements**

+ Rising Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution, 3.0 GPA or higher preferred
+ Strong self-learning ability, with guidance, per project requirements
+ Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic CAD tools (AutoCAD Electrical, Creo, etc.)
+ Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
