Job description

Electrical Estimator

Gpac is a national executive search firm specializing in recruitment for the electrical construction industry.

We have been retained by a local electrical contractor in the area to find an Electrical Estimator to join their team.

Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Prepare proposal specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and required estimate details
  • Estimate electrical work for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and job site walkthroughs to verify project requirements
  • Perform complete take-offs for electrical scope of work
  • Maintain detailed estimate documentation, including supplier pricing and historical cost data
  • Support other departments as needed, including assisting with estimates in related disciplines
  • Analyze design options and recommend cost-effective solutions
  • Interface with clients on bid-walks and provide estimating support to field operations
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership

Qualifications:


  • 3+ years of estimating experience with an electrical contractor
  • Experience with Accubid, McCormick, or Conest estimating software
  • Strong knowledge of electrical installations, estimating techniques, and cost control
  • Ability to interpret computerized cost data and estimating systems
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Stable work history
  • Previous management or supervisory experience is a plus

Preferred but Not Required:


  • College degree in a related field
