    Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed electrical estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and time requirements.
  • Review blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Evaluate and recommend electrical systems and products based on cost-effectiveness, reliability, and safety.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors on job cost estimates.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, new product developments, and the price of materials and labor.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement electrical safety standards throughout all stages of project development.
  • Provide technical support and advice to project teams, as needed.
  • Regularly review and compare actual project costs against estimates and identify reasons for discrepancies.
  • Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and client consultations as required.

  • Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Electrical Estimating or a similar role in the construction industry.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding electrical blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, products, and safety standards.
  • Excellent numerical skills and the ability to prepare accurate estimates.
  • Familiarity with project management and estimating software.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional certification in electrical estimating or a related field will be an added advantage.
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and have a high level of accuracy.
