The Electrical Products Group was recently purchased from Avail Infrastructure Solutions by nVent Electric plc (“nVent”) and consists of three business units, Enclosure Systems, Switchgear Systems and Bus Systems.

As a part of nVent, the Electrical Products Group is a leading provider of infrastructure solutions, designed to help ensure safe and reliable electrical operations primarily in the infrastructure vertical, including power utilities and data centers.

Electrical Installer Technician II
Millington 

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Installs and tests electrical/electronic systems, circuits, and equipment.

  • Installs wireways, conduits, and cable trays and grounds electrical equipment to adhere to customer specifications and/or NEC code.

  • Performs simple connections of utility wires and understands how electrical circuits function.

  • Responsible for the threading of conduit and reading blueprints.

  • Utilizes basic hand tools and uses measuring devices.

  • Ensure all tools used on the job are in good working condition.

  • Perform ongoing housekeeping duties to keep the work area clean and orderly.

  • Prevent on-the-job injuries by attending safety meetings, wearing protective gear, cleaning the work area, and maintaining awareness of Quality Standards and safety stations.

YOU HAVE:

  • Equipment Used: Basic hand tools and measuring devices.

  • Certifications: Vocational/technical degree in electricity or equivalent is helpful.

  • Education/Experience:  High school diploma or equivalency (GED) preferred, but not required.

  • Language Skills:  Able to read and comprehend somewhat complex instructions.

    Able to write notes or simple correspondence.

    Able to effectively communicate information to coworkers

  • Attendance Requirement:  Requires regular attendance during scheduled shift and overtime when required.

  • Physical Demands:  Spends more than 2/3 of time standing, kneeling/crouching/stooping/using hands/reaching.

    1/3 of time walking and talking/hearing.

Pay Transparency

nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location.

Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance.

Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$22.00-$27.00
