**Boeing Defense & Space (BDS)** is seeking an **associate or** **experienced Electrical Power Systems Engineer** to support the **Vertical Lift (VL)** program Platform Systems team located in **Mesa AZ.**

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and sustaining military systems and will have an electrical power background.

The selected candidate will report to Electrical Power System team.

**Position** **Responsibilities:**

+ Develops and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements
+ Designs hardware, software and interface specifications
+ Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
+ Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
+ Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
+ Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs
+ Designing solutions to current and future products
+ Working with multiple teams to meet program goals
+ 10% travel as needed

**This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.**

**This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.**

**Basic Qualifications** **(Required Skills & Experience):**

+ Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
+ 1+ years’ of experience in aircraft electrical power systems

**Preferred Qualifications** **(Desired Skills & Experience):**

+ Electrical Engineering degree preferred
+ 3+ years of experience with aviation electrical power systems (3-phase AC and/or DC systems)
+ 3+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering
+ 3+ years’ of experience in design

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range (level 2): $79,900 - $108,100

Summary pay range (Level 3): $96,050 - $129,950
