Are you a seasoned construction professional with an eye for detail and a passion for leading teams to success?

We are seeking a Permanent Project Superintendent to oversee our construction projects from start to finish.

This role involves managing workers, coordinating subcontractors, working closely with project managers, and ensuring the finished product meets quality standards and client specifications.

As the on-site leader, the Project Superintendent will be the primary point of contact for all construction-related issues and will play a key role in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry and a thorough understanding of blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

1.

Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
2.

Review and interpret project blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure project integrity.
3.

Coordinate and supervise the activities of construction workers, subcontractors, and staff.
4.

Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
5.

Ensure project compliance with all building and safety codes, and other relevant regulations.
6.

Establish and maintain a safe and clean job site that meets regulatory requirements.
7.

Communicate effectively with clients, architects, and stakeholders to provide updates and address issues.
8.

Schedule and manage timelines to ensure project deadlines are met.
9.

Prepare internal and external reports regarding job status, daily progress, estimates, and deliverables.
10.

Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain necessary permits and licenses.

Qualifications

1.

Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a construction superintendent or in a similar role.
2.

In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
3.

Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints, plans, and specs.
4.

Excellent knowledge of construction safety regulations and procedures.
5.

Strong leadership and management skills.
6.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
7.

Ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
8.

Competent in conflict and crisis management.
9.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
10.

A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
11.

BSc/BA in engineering, building science or relevant field is a plus.
12.

Valid license to work in the construction industry is preferred.
