SUMMARY

Responsible for all electrical diagnosis and repair on given shift to include the maintenance, service, and repair of electrical and electronic equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidate will have experience in PLC programming using ladder logic and troubleshooting electrical/electronic circuits to the component level.

Ability to make repairs to systems, read drawings and schematics, utilize a variety of test equipment and work with low voltages.

Must have the ability to work self-guided and be able to prioritize jobs.

Position requires good communication skills to adequately relay the state of equipment and estimated repair time to others.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures; perform tasks in a safe manner.
  • Individual must have experience in Allen Bradley, Modicon, and Square D PLC logic programming.
  • Individual must possess electrical circuit troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in an industrial environment as well as the ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, sketches and schematics.
  • Must be familiar with related test equipment and three phase 480V circuits.
  • Experience with 480V and below.
  • Must be a dedicated, hard-working self-starter.
  • Experience in the repair, installation and troubleshooting of commercial industry machinery, robotics, plumbing, and/or physical building structure is desired.
  • Must be able to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes and any other PPE that is required in the performance of the responsibilities of the position.
  • Work safely and maintain a safe, clean work environment, and perform available work as required by the supervisor.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed and to take on additional assignments as requested by management.
  • Maintain 5S standards.
  • Weekly on-call 6 times a year max.
  • EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Formal technical training in electronics with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the craft.

    Robotics background preferred.

    Associates degree in electronic field or Journeyman’s card preferred.
  • Position requires a valid Kansas Class C driver’s license.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

    The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and vibration.

    The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
