**Amentum** is seeking an **Electronic Technician** to join our team in **Hawthorne, Nevada** to support the Hawthorne Army Depot.
The **Electronic Technician** will be a key technical staff member with the electronics repair/maintenance department.
Typical functions include the repair, overhaul, adjusting, modifying, and testing various types of mechanical and electrical controller instruments, recorders, flow meters, flow transmitters, fluid controls, solid state components, boiler & material handling equipment controls, and water meters.
The **Electronic Technician** will use various best practice repair methods for Fire Alarm, Security systems, CCTV, process controls, PLC's.
**Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

**Typical Responsibilities Include** :
+ Maintain, troubleshoot, overhaul, repair, install, modify, assemble, electronic equipment and systems such as: computer based intrusion alarm systems, closed circuit TV system, radio communication, plant fire systems, audio/visual systems, motor speed controls, photo cell amplifiers, electronic air filters, electronic pyrometers and regulators, electronic water chlorination system, battery chargers, medical equipment, and automatic temperature control units.
+ Repair, overhaul, adjust, modify, and test various types of mechanical and electrical controller instruments, recorders, flow meters, flow transmitters, fluid controls, solid state components, and boiler and material handling equipment controls, water meters.
Use and maintain all tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks if properly qualified and authorized by supervision.
+ Responsible for location and clearance of underground power cables (up to 4160 volts), and fire alarm and signal cables prior to excavation.
+ Maintain railroad crossing signal equipment for three locations on US Highway 95.
+ Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.
+ Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
+ Be at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record.
May be required to work overtime.
+ Performs other duties of the same or lower level of difficulty than those listed.
+ Work in close proximity to and or in a chemical/munitions demilitarization facility.
+ Responsible for reporting actual and potential safety and environmental concerns.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Must be 18 years or older.
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required.
+ Four (4) years experience, including certifiable technical training, as an apprentice or one (1) year as a journeyman electronics mechanics.
+ Must have expierence working on Fire Alarm, Security systems, CCTV, process controls, and PLCs.
+ Be available for standby duty.
+ Must be computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment.
Data logging, record keeping.
+ Must maintain fitness-for-duty standards to perform the essential functions of the position, to include any HWAD drill, contingency and/or emergency requirement.
+ Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner.
Perform safety sensitive duties.
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain all certifications as required by Amentum’s Master Training.
+ Perform skilled to semi-skilled tasks including but not limited to operating and maintaining equipment, tools, vehicle, and material handling equipment.
+ **Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State driver’s license.**
+ **Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of government security clearance**
+ **Must be able to obtain and maintain Hawthorne Army Depot (HWAD) site access.**
+ **Must be able to obtain and maintain a clearance through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and be favorably vetted through the NCIC III System.**
+ **Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.**
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Certified technical or trade school training highly desirable.
+ VOM, VTVM, DVM, power meters, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, and signal generators, preferred.
**Safety Sensitive Position**
This position is designated as a safety sensitive position and is subject to the requirements of the HWAD Medical Surveillance Plan and Matrix and the HWAD A&D Program.
As a condition of employment, candidates and incumbents must favorably complete a personnel security investigation, drug testing, medical exam and respiratory screening, and must meet and maintain personnel suitability and reliability requirements established by 29 CFR and Army Regulations: AR 190-11, AR 190-13 and DOD Contractors Safety Manual 4145.26.
**Compensation:**
The starting hourly rate for this position is between $29.49-$39.61 (Per the CBA).
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
**Benefits:**
Medical, vision, dental, STD and life insurance, PTO–120 hours per year, accrued at 4.62 hours per pay period, Sick leave–One (1) hour of accrual for every thirty (30) hours worked, Paid Holidays-Eleven (11) per calendar year, 401K, and an employee stock option plan.
