Electronics Test Technician
Position Summary/Essential Functions:
The Electronics Test Technician Specialist completes work according to instructions, specifications and procedures.
Conducts a variety of tests and verifications on electro and electromechanical equipment, while providing accuracy, productivity and on-time delivery.
Responsibilities:
+ Performs a range of routine mechanical and/or electromechanical testing of small parts or components in accordance with company instructions and procedures
+ Reviews shop traveler route card, or schematic drawings to confirm correct sequence of operation
+ Perform a variety of test to verify circuitry and to test effectiveness of components in amplifiers and electronic equipment.
+ Receive parts or units from customers and troubleshoots circuits and components using schematic drawings and prints as a verifying check.
+ Perform test and diagnostics using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVM, signal generators, power meters, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, frequency counters and other related test equipment
+ Sets up test equipment and tests per specification
+ Performs troubleshooting and failure analysis of analog and digital circuitry malfunctions to the micro component level
+ Provides detailed written failure description with root cause analysis to production and engineering
+ Follows written and verbal instructions, adheres to all company guidelines, policies and procedures
+ Maintains a safe and clean work environment, an acceptable safety record and follows company safety rules
+ Other responsibilities as assigned
+ Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.
May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Qualifications:
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
Years Experience: 3-5 years or more of relevant experience
Skills:
+ Strong electrical background with understanding of microelectronics.
+ Strong knowledge in testing, debugging and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies
+ Good reading and comprehension skills to understand regulations and instructions
+ Ability to analyze and determine methods and procedures
+ Good verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
+ Proficient Microsoft Windows software applications

Competitive Compensation
+ Pay Range: $23.75/hr to $39.55/hr
+ Participation in Annual Incentive Program

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California, New York, Washington.
Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations.
The wage range for this role considers allowances for a number of factors, including but not limited to required experience, skill level, prior training, licensure/certifications, education, and other business needs.
