Position Summary

The Employee Assistance Program Worklife Resource Consultant is part of the Worklife Team, and provides education about community resources, resource needs assessment, and community and/or national referrals to a variety of customers for a variety of needs.

These include childcare, elder/adult care, and basic/everyday needs.

This person is responsible for providing Worklife consultation and informational services to members and plan sponsors.

The most frequent requests received are for emergency financial, housing, childcare/children with special needs, elder/adult care, and health-related needs.

Job Duties

  • Assesses resource needs, proposes options, and research/screens potential community service providers to meet the assessed needs.

  • Provides resource referrals and educates individuals on how to use resources to handle various life and work situations.

  • Appropriately documents member interactions and research/case fulfillment in the system.

  • Works in an inbound and outbound call center environment and completes outbound phone calls and research, some of which may be more administrative or customer service oriented.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned, based on business need, including staffing an online chat platform.

  • Required Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in social work, social services, or case management field.
  • Access to a private, confidential workspace free from distractions, as well as ability to maintain a professional, camera-ready work environment available at all times.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity and professionalism.
  • Possesses a wired internet connection (minimum 400 Mbps download, 10-20 Mbps upload); no DSL or cellular internet; higher speed may be needed for proper internet performance based on the internet usage of others in the household during your scheduled working hours.

    Must be hard wired into your internet modem and not work off Wi-Fi. 
  • Must be comfortable conducting video chats, virtual calls and using digital communication tools.
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday from 11:45am-8:15pm Eastern Standard Time.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish speaking), with an ability to pass a language assessment.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a call center environment 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Previous experience working with diverse populations.
  • Previous experience using video platforms, virtual calls, and chat platforms (e.g. Five9, Microsoft Teams, or proprietary systems) in member-facing roles.

  • Previous experience in a virtual work environment, alongside experience in navigating multiple screens and systems simultaneously.

  • Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a social services/health-related field (Health Education, etc.)

    Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is:

    $21.10 - $49.08

    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.

    The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.

    This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
