Energy Engineer – $90,000-$130,000 depending on experience + Performance Bonus and Commission – Spokane Valley, WA

In this role, you will play a vital role in identifying and implementing energy-saving measures for building infrastructure.

Working closely with our team, you’ll develop cost-effective solutions and deliver exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Attend site visits to collect data and validate analysis.
  • Perform energy savings calculations and building energy modelling.
  • Enhance energy calculation templates for improved efficiency.
  • Develop project strategies, goals, and objectives.
  • Assist in evaluating technical solutions for energy efficiency.
  • Present findings and recommendations to clients.
  • Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Support the sales team with technical insights.
  • Prepare designs for energy efficiency and facility improvement measures.
  • Assist in estimating utility rebates and preparing project scopes.

  • 401k: You will be eligible to participate in a 401k program 90 days after your hiring date. Our 401k program includes a company match. 
  • Licenses/Certifications: CE will pay for all costs associated with approved ongoing license and certification fees. 
  • Paid time off (PTO): PTO includes both Personal Time Off and Vacation.

    You will be awarded 17 days of PTO annually on January 1 of each year. 
  • Paid Holidays: CEC observes 11 holidays annually.

The Person

To excel in this role, you’ll need:


  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Five years’ experience in Energy Engineering (preferred).
  • Proficiency in building energy codes and modelling tools (IESVE knowledge is a must).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • A willingness to learn new methods and industry standards.
