This position is responsible for leading energy analysis and sustainability initiatives across FMD-managed buildings.

Key responsibilities include monitoring and analyzing energy usage and costs, managing internal energy and cost allocations, and overseeing tracking, forecasting, and budgeting processes.

The position also conducts utility audits, reviews energy-related contracts, and ensures compliance with B3 reporting and climate registry tenant allocations.

Additional duties include managing recycling reporting and tenant allocations and supporting energy-related programs such as Xcel Renewable Connect, Capitol Solar Arrays, and Guaranteed Energy Savings Programs.

This position will have the ability to telework 2 days per week.

With a telework arrangement, additional onsite attendance may be required for team meetings or as requested by management to meet business needs.

Completion of a telework agreement will be required.

**Minimum Qualifications**

Three (3) years of experience working in energy, building or facility management, real estate, procurement, or brokering.

Additionally, all applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Experience working with relational database programming sufficient to identify issues and implement modifications.
• Ability to run database queries and review and prepare technical reports.

• Certified Energy Manager (CEM) from the Association of Energy Engineers or the ability to obtain certification
• Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with state-wide stakeholders, including senior leadership team members.
• Communication and analytical skills sufficient to analyze data to effectively produce and explain complex information with a variety of audiences.
• Skills in the use of Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook

**Preferred Qualifications**

• Knowledge of applicable State and Federal regulations and codes in energy usage and conservation.
• Knowledge of the basic principles and practices of electrical and mechanical engineering.
• Experience working with some or all of the following software systems: Honeywell (Enterprise Building Integrator), Schneider Electric (Power Monitoring Expert), Onset Computer Corporation (HOBOware/HOBO Data Loggers).
• Experience utilizing B3 Benchmarking software and reporting B3 Benchmarking data.
